Chapter 1: "I Live in a Giant Bucket".
"Toast for Breakfast, Sir?"
"No thanks, my crack cocaine butter will do just fine on its own.."
"But remember your conversations with Doctor Jenkins, you need to cut down on your diet of razor blades! The butter can't lube them up forever you know! You'll become ill as fuck, Sir."
"I seem to recall how you didn't give two shits the last time i overdosed on my intake of razor blades."
"Well, it wasn't like i had a spare stomach lying around!! I'm no fucking trained Surgeon!"
"Hrmph. Well, in this day and age, genetic research has expanded into finally allowing us to develop extra limbs! Retard. Don't you remember? I tried it once...and i had two girlfriends, and then...it finally dropped off for fucks sake!"
"That shit is definately not reliable"
"...Shelia decided not to stick around after that."
"Well, she didn't feel appreciated...or satisfied!! hahaha"
"This isn't the time for you to be an ass! I could have died! and probably will do soon..."
"I'm sorry sir, but even if i tried to recreate a brand new stomach for you, it would wither and die in a matter of months...and your diet would half that!"
"Well...maybe i like my diet."
"Maybe i'd like to not have to be cleaning up your dead remains after your brain caves in!"
"Why the fuck would my brain cave in!?"
"...do you ever read the ingredients list and health warnings of crack cocaine butter?? it says: Daily consumption may lead to cancer of the soul and implosion of the imagination..."
"......"
"Well???"
"....buy me some more butter! My Stomach is stinging like fuck!".
This is what happens when im bored!

"Within You Without You"
So yes!About time to do another blog...whether anybody reads or not? Oh well.
I need a form of venting out some hot air other than throwing myself around and singing my throat away onstage at a gig, which unfortunately this weekend, there are none!
So, this blog is essentially talking about general crap, with no specific overall point or purpose (yet), just a general rant about stuff.
So, im questioning things. like...
What is the meaning of forgiveness?
Are we designed to hold grudges against eachother? Or are we meant to forgive and move on from things? Yeah, not an interesting subject matter lol and i hate to sound like some religious preacher revelating about crap, but it's something to talk about!
The subject of "grudges" or "forgiveness" have popped up in my life a few times in recent times, leaving me to question alot of things that go down in life in general.
Is it wrong to believe that you are not in the wrong?
Is it simply human nature to trust yourself, and reject the opinions of others?
can you blame yourself for human nature? and if not, then can you blame someone else for simply being human? Sometimes events happen, and you have to learn how to respect the fact that other people are just as human as you are, and that the grudge you hold against someone is simply made of the doubts and self beliefs you have within yourself, and vice versa.
Its a wierd place when the other person is unaware of the fact that you yourself are simply human. It's also a wierd place when we all just surround ourselves with the bullshit that we make in modern society, left unable to judge people simply by our human nature.
We're left judging and determining things by whats "socially acceptable".
Im not saying that everything thats socially unacceptable is right, but there does come a point where we simply judge everything by only whats socially acceptable. The rules we make within social demographics. And sometimes we get the urge to say a big "fuck you" to whats socially acceptable. It's human nature to rebel. But it's also human nature to make mistakes. Hence why we have rubbers on the end of pencils. And the other type of rubbers too.
Now, what ends up happening is that the whole determination to inforce social correctness develops into blurring peoples judgement that allows people to make mistakes. That the bullshit that is created as a result leaves people unable to cut through simply to the human nature of things. Its as if the only way to go about things is by simply conforming, and that there's no comprimise on both sides. Just on yours. Great stuff.
Its getting down to the idea that in order to solve the issues of grudges and forgiveness, we must look further than ourselves. That a grudge is the barrier we make based on our own self righteousness and doubts, and in order to forgive, we must simply break this barrier and let it go. I'm not saying that all grudges are unjustified. I'm not saying that what i say flows like a beautiful river of cocky intelligence mixed in with some smug philosopher on a boat eating a beautiful cheescake of literature. But i'm talking about the grudges we hold in every day life and events. In order to progress as people, we gotta let go of the doubts that we have, but also let go of the self righteousness we have. Nobody's perfect.
Whether this made any sense to you, i dont know! But sometimes a bit of revelational blogging doesn't go amiss. I'll write a new, better blog asap.

"SOLAR BEARS"

Well now...
November = the 11th month
April = the 4th month
November - April = Time elapsed since last blog post.
11 - 4 = 7 months
No way has it been over half a year since i actually made a blog post!!
November = the 11th month

November - April = Time elapsed since last blog post.
11 - 4 = 7 months
No way has it been over half a year since i actually made a blog post!!
To those who have read my blogs in late 2009, alot of them were spent predominatly moaning about the speed of time. Well, in 2010, things got worse. Life was once moving at the speed of a broken arrivia bus, now time seems to be moving at the equivalent of a fire extinguisher, that's thrown 70ft off a building by a benderface during a tuition fees riot. Right.
(Tbh, most buses are terrible. Did not appreciate a bus taking me into Birmingham City Centre last night at Midnight...*RAGE* ...gotta love public transport...)
So! I haven't done ANY blogging in ages, so i think its about time i start again ;)
Its been locked away for too long for something that wasn't all that bad.
Howard Marks Style.
I can continually complain about the inevitability that life IS speeding up and WILL continue to speed up, but such continual moaning is also known as "wasting" time, of which seems to be evermore out of stock these days.
And no. You can't buy it from Argos :3
So! what the hell have i been up to in the past 7 months???
- Toxic Federation have played various festivals and gigs all over the place! We've also appeared at Rock & Bike Festival and Greenbelt Festival this year.
- In May, we went out to Turkey for the 2nd time to headline the annual "CALIS FESTIVAL" of which we we're met with great praise and support from a 2500+ strong crowd! Footage of our time out there is included in our video for "Dark".
- After a summer of playing various gigs and festivals, we released our latest album "AS ONE" in September, featuring new songs such as "Dark", "Execute", "Broken", and "Too Far". Review of our album can be found at http://www.newrockmusic.co.uk/ :)
- We recently played Camden alongside "Blitzkrieg" and "Beholder" at the Underworld, with more London dates coming soon...
- We've started work on brand new tracks for our next release, already roadtesting songs such as "DISTANCE", with more in the works...
- All latest updates/news/videos can be found at http://www.toxicfederation.com/
A year spent doing some interesting stuff and developing as a Band, gearing ourselves up for what lies ahead in 2011... ;)
SO! yes, blogging...just giving you an update on some of the stuff that's been going down with the band in 2010 to get me back into blogging again, and hopefully a benderwagon full of bentass crap from the land of bent will bring much joy next time round to the mediocre lives we lead in this country called BRITAIN :)
Also, the whole "Solar Bears" title? Doesn't serve of any relevance other to the fact that its a cool title, and that it's also the name of an electronic-vangelis style band, that i heard on http://www.stereomood.com/ (which is a great site by the way). Not the coolest of stuff to find on there, but pretty damn spacey and chillout stuff ^^ Anyways i believe that's all from me today!
I need to find munch, as i'm hungry enough to eat a planet.
AND REMEMBER!! ...something.
Next time on Mitchel Emms' Epic Blog!
- Something Better.
- You maybe? Ask if you want :P i'll make up some rare cheesecake of literature about you ^^
Out. :)

You.bitchezz.should.be.pleased :D Also, ive got to learn some Turkish too to say onstage...Let's see how that goes down...i never realised in school that learning other languages we're actually going to be useful! :P
NO, im not sad enough to explain how christianity is based on mushrooms in Turkish! let alone the fact that its an islamic country too. In fact, that last statement in action would have been giant fail. But its best not to choose sides... I choose the religion of "MUSIC"...YES, i know that sounds cheesy...but its so awesome...cause music is like, legendary.

Shady's Back....

MITCH EMMS IS BACK. BLOGGING AGAIN. FOR 2010. YEAH. ITS EPIC. EVEN THOUGH, HE HAS BLOGGED BEFORE, MITCH AIMS TO BLOG MORE THAN HE'S EVER DONE BEFORE. IN A MORE EPIC BLOG OF EPICAL EPICNESS THAT EPICALLY SURPASSES THE MEANING OF EPIC. THIS MAY NOT HAPPEN, AS MITCHEL CANNOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DREAM AND REALITY, BUT HIS FAIL...WILL BE EPIC.
HELLO 2010...sorry for the late blog, i was partying like hell with Oscar Wilde and Techno Viking back in 2009, and since then, i've had a hangover that's essentially left me with Alzheimer-like symptoms, main one of course being Memory Loss...So i forgot to do a blog...i think i was drunk and ended up selling my soul...? ...so thats why i've had all these wierd symptoms... Oh shit. I don't want to think about what else COULD have happened that night...as Rick James (bitch) once said..."Cocaine's a hell of a drug". Indeed, it was one crazy ass night. But yeah, the repercussions of that night have now long gone, and i'm back up to speed with a new blog....
REFLECTIONS OF 2009:
2009. The year of Lady Gaga and Various other shit artists. The Year where we also had Rage against the Machine as Number 1 on christmas day...so yeah, a mixed year. It's also been the first year of Toxic Federation as a 5 piece! And it's been a crazy year!! We've achieved loads this year, and a big thanks to Beth, John, Rory, Mike, The Band and everyone who have pushed us in 2009, and we're aiming for an even better year this year!!
So...what has Toxic Federation been up to these past 2 months....
We have supported "THE ANSWER" on tour, which was fooooking Excellent!!! We've also done some pretty decent gigs aswell and played with Eddie and the Hot Rods, which was a cool night...We've also been working on some new material for the new year...Our latest track out very soon called "DAYBREAK" with even more stuff in the pipeline for the yearr!! We have a radio interview with Ashbourne radio in Derby this week!! Which should be gurrrd...and hopefully get crackin on with some Pimp ass Tracks for y'all. Peace out Bitcheeezzzz ;)]
LIVE SHOWS: We now include Strobes and Lazers, and are focusing now on new material and a greater set, so our EPIC light show is coming together!! ...and arriving in the post today are more Pyrotechnics and flash bangs...So yeaaaaahh!!! F**kin A! These next bunch of gigs are gonna be fun... ;)
So what has each of us been up to then?
JAKE GRAHAM:
Yeah, JakeyBoy has been doing his riffage and sending across to me to mess with, and weeeez got some pretty good stuff coming together. You see, Jake has recently entered what we call the "Zone" except he has surpassed this with the use of LSD and PCP. This has enabled him to enter a completely different world where he can discover the greatest riff of all time, inspired by the epic events he is involved in, such as battling with a Godzilla with Super Jake Powers. Its like giving Jake a guitar whilst turning Super Sayan, which he uses as his battleaxe of epic death against the evil forces of an acid trip. This all takes place in his room, because if it we're to let loose on the streets, it would blow peoples minds, and cause mass genocide.
GEORGE COLEMAN:
Also, some hard work byy George on mixing and other ideas too :) SPEAKING OF WHICH: GEORGEY enters the new Decade with SHORT HAIR. Thats right folks. Short hair. Apparantly he says he wanted to start over cause he wasn't happy with it...which is fair nuffs, so all is forgiven....for now. ;) No really, it actually is forgiven....Hehe We love ya really George :P
But i know the real truth...what actually happened with George's hair is that he like's to play with roman candles, and on New Years eve, strapped roman candles to himself and tied himself to a chair for all to see on top of a church. It did not end well. However, he is back to his former self now, but now he is colour blind, his eyes wishing not to see sparks of colour ever again. Which doesn't help seen as we've now got more lights and lazers for our gigs. He'll be fiiiiiine. ;)
JR WINDSOR:
He's recently been sleeping away the past month in a hidden location in hawaii somewhere, working on his next drum solo. It seems that he can't concentrate unless he has 40 degrees heat and sunshine, plus endless Xbox 360 useage, plus a copy of Dragon Age and Five Finger Death Punch played loud enough to make sound waves in the sand. Its his form of meditation. Hawaii is very hard to get to from the UK, let alone send him new tracks so i rely on Jakes PCP trips in order to give jake teleportation powers to bring JR the epic goodness of new band music. JR then falls out of his groove and buries Jake in a mountain side with his targeted missile system he has on his secret island paradise. But Jake happens to be a super Sayan, so he can deal with that shit.
ALEX STROUD:
Alex has been trying himself out as a Pimp on the streets of Compton, USA, with his alias "StroudyBoii", putting the "Stroud" back in Pimping. Even though there was no stroud in pimping to begin with. Yet, he has turned unsuccessful in his attempts to "pimp" hard, like the proffessional pimps in the area, and has had 60 bullets shot at him during his time there. However, he aims to bring his research and experience into Local UK schools, and besides being a full time bass player for Toxic Federation, he aims to also become a part time pimpologist, in
"PIMPOLOGY", in which he can bring Pimp classes and courses to UK schools, giving young teenagers real life experience and skills to survive on modern streets.
MITCHEL EMMS:
I have been collaborating with Worlds best rapper "Reh Dogg" to help him express his feelings much better than he did with "why must i cry", give him vocal coaching and help get him a number one single this christmas, without the help of HellSpawnOfShitChild Simon Cowell. I've also attempted many a time to fly to canada to go see Rush and my Friend, but however jumping off the top of my roof and waving my arms around hasn't got me far yet. But i'll keep trying.
NEXT TIME ON MITCHEL EMMS' EPIC BLOGG:

"I Feel Like Makin' CAKE!"
...But cant beat your Casino Royale Poster being "COOLFACED"!! *coolface*"Yes, I do feel like making love...but Cake is just...Immense" - Bad Company/Frazer Allsopp.
HELLO! It has been a long time since my last blog...of which has been the fashion of my blog writing recently. This is due to being bogged down with the piling amount of work given by the education system in order to convert me into a "Hard working member of Society"...Of which i don't mind too much...only when it prevents me from doing Vocal recording for the bands latest track "Ice Cold (Now named "Here We Stand")...So, sorry Beth! Blame the Government.
So whats the new shizzzage? Well...
TOXIC FEDERATION ARE PLAYING WITH "THE ANSWER" ON THEIR UK TOUR @ NEWCASTLE ACADEMY & SHEFFIELD CORPORATION!
...This is news that most people have already heard, but just in case they haven't, then...well, now you do! This is great stuff for us, and we're gonna have a great time at those gigs!!
Also, very soon, we should have "HERE WE STAND" finished!! Sorry to those i've kept waiting as time-constraints have prevented me from recording the vocals for this track this past fortnight, which i aim to do in the next day or three, leaving us ready to continue with new songs in the works!!
Last Weekend, Toxic Federation performed an Acoustic Set @ "MUSIC LIVE", NEC, which was Brilliant!! and was well...interesting to hear us in a more toned down, mellow mood with our music, giving me room to sing alot better and hear myself instead of being drowned out by the loud volumes of usual gigs...My Shure PSM 200 personal Ear Monitoring system should be arriving tommorow, which i aim to test out, and if they work for me then that'll mean i can turn off those Bloody Feedbacking monitors onstage for my vocals and Turn them up out front!! Which means better vocal quality overall :p
I am of the belief that JR's bought himself a new piece of kit which he saw at Music Live...electronic pads to use live, which can bring all sorts to our live sound, which i'm sure he'll be having fun with soon... ;D which he aims to be using by the end of the month on tour with "the answer". And yes...i'll get you that copy of Ableton. ;)
So, anyways...time for some Philosophical musing.
November has brought Cold and Darkness to England...which sucks!! It's like all of a sudden the woman that is Nature decided to turn itself into a fridge, and bring us shit ass weather, which is neither exciting or decent. I mean, if it was like Epic Thunderstorms and shizz, then it'd be alright, but the weathers just cold and wet enough to not cause you any damage, but just piss you off. British Weather is known as "Piss-you-off weather". lol
But Yanyways...
Amateur Reviews! "JULIAN CASABLANCAS - 'PHRASES FOR THE YOUNG'"
- As a fan of The Strokes, i thought this shouldn't be too bad cause its...Julian out of the Strokes. I've had a listen through it, and it seems the dude has swapped indie riffs for Electronic Synth pop, which the latter im a fan of, so it's the soundtrack to my life at the moment :P there's some hit and miss tracks which i'm abit meh with, but overall, the guy has made some interesting catchy music which is good time stuff. Makes a change from all the doom and gloom. I reccommend :) = 7.5768/10
- "TWILIGHT" - i've finally managed to get around to watching this teen sensation movie, which many have rated it as the worst piece of teenage movie shit ever that's overrated. It's not as bad as i thought it would be, in all its HD glory (thank god for sky HD). It wasn't too bad lol and i can see what all the hype is about. "Edward Cullen" is essentially this Vampire dude who is the creation of some woman novelist who decided to write down what makes up a perfect teenagers dream man. He's got superpowers, hes a Vampire (which is all related to sex, and that vampires are ALWAYS sexy), hes also emotional and wont ever leave his woman of choice, he also lives forever and stays looking 17, and can be macho when needed. But the creepy thing for me is like, Bella is like 17...and the book says hes like 104?!
That's like Pervy Old Man to the Max. = 7.0975/10

"I'm not Peter Gabriel, I'm Gabriel Byrne"

Mitch Face here again to produce some random bullshit about the times and various ramblings, in association with the company of Annoyance, shadowing my every move. The company "Annoyance" is a well-know one, that everybody in their life has come across at some point. Their products are never usually well received, yet they still send me useless shit to use which just end up annoying people. I'm lead to believe that i signed a contract when i was born to ensure "Annoyance" that i will continue to be for the rest of my life a test subject for all their 'amazing' products, of which continually regurgitate themselves into many different forms of the same thing, not overly different in a general way, which in itself is annoying.
So how do i make use of annoyance? Simple. I gradually conquer the planet by annoying people so much they end up killing eachother off. Wait, thats a bad idea, Even if Hitler does have sexy legs. Okay, so pretty much, there is no real use of annoyance other than to annoy people, which gives the gift/burden of annoyance no constructive value. Therefore its utterly useless if your trying to do something with your life. Anyways...sorry for the rant. :o
Okay! So, talking about things that actually matter. Tonight is a gig @ MFN, Shipley with "Toxic Twins", who are an Aerosmith Tribute band, that sound pretty close to the real thing, except without the stadium setting and thousands of screaming fans. Nevertheless, that's the whole point of a tribute band, to experience a reconstruction of the real thing in a close enviroment, without being visually impaired because the ticket you bought happens to be in SECTION Z, requiring you to use Binoculars to see a glimpse of the band you just forked out £50 to see, or being prevented from shagging the talent by big balded bodyguards ready to tazer you at the single second you even think of jumping that barrier and running onto that stage. And we're opening up the night, leaving the audience in'toxic'cated as they may be drunk/drugged up as if you we're gonna go see the real Aerosmith, jacked up on LSD and Ecstasy, with a bloodstream with a 99.9% alcohol level, ready to suffer a drug induced coma whilst experiencing the amazingness that is Aerosmith. So tonight should be a good night. (No reference to the defication on the music charts that is the Black Eyed Peas.)
Other Stuff:
She who shall not be named for Copyright purposes these days, has now copyrighted her name and therefore the amazingness that is that person is unfortunately here on not allowed to be included in my blogs. But it'll be fine, ill just have to put on my COOOOLLL FAAAAACCEEEE, while the soul crushing pain that lingers inside me subsides. :P
Been watching a program recently on Sky Arts called "In Treatment", which essentially is 5 episodes a week with 5 different patients, and every week shows the treatment's progression with each one (It's not real). Stars some dude called "Gabriel Byrne" who is starting to piss me off with his inability to be a good therapist...anyways, its alright and its chewing gum for the mind. Pisses john off though. Worth a watch if your into that sort of thing.
Oh yeah, i also went to Hospital on thursday, and had my vocal chords checked out.....
It was one of the wierdest experiences i've ever had, having my whole sinuses numbed by Anaesthetic, and a thin long lead with a camera on the end going all the way through my nose and down into the back of my throat, letting me see my vocal chords on the TV it was connected to...Okay, i've been singing for over 6 years now, with times where i've completely destroyed my voice, not being able to talk the next day, which has happened numerous amounts of times over the years, so i wouldn't be surprised if i had done any serious damage. The Doctor guy had a butchers, and said that its in good condition, and that theres nothing wrong! Which was surprising....he says i need to drink much more water as they look dehydrated, which apparantly affects your vocal chords because dehydration takes water from your extremities and puts them into your main organs, leaving your vocal chords dry and unable to move, which is why people in the desert can barely speak. So YEAH, Bit of Eductation there for ya ;) So everything is clear for me to keep on doing what i do best. Being annoying. :)
Next Time on Mitchel Emms' Epic Blog:
- "Increasing Success by Lowering Expectations" - The Life story of Kerry Hampton.
- Some other random shizzz i decide to ponder about on the day.
